Mission

To unite the USAFA health professional community by promoting fellowship, supporting the aspirations of these professionals in all phases of their careers, enhancing combat readiness and maximizing force multiplier effectiveness.

Elements

Fellowship: create an association fostering ongoing communication, advice, mentoring, assistance and friendship among its members.

Mentoring: create a comprehensive panel of specialty experts across all health professions to advise cadets, discuss with faculty or to consult with one another.

Advisory: provide expertise to the USAFA biology (life sciences department) and to each other concerning curriculum, career counseling, association with health related organizations within DOD and beyond. This especially includes advice, assistance and mentoring to cadets.

Financial: provide a vehicle for establishing endowments in support of the FHPA mission: e.g. funding support of a specific academic area, research or discipline, establishing a fellowship in the life sciences department, establishing a visiting lectureship, establishing a scholar-in-residence or a department chair.

Participation: provide a forum for encouraging lecturing or otherwise presenting professional topics at USAFA or other institutions or forums.
